CHALLENGES - Boomer Client Story

“Even if I could retire early, but with today’s current economy it is doubtful, I want so much more from retirement than a life of leisure. As a Boomer, I will likely have several more decades of good health; so a life of golf, rest & relaxation doesn’t work for me. I know there has to be more.

I want to get the most out of my retirement. For me, I think this means the right blend of a balanced lifestyle with enriching activities and work that I can feel passionate about. I want to explore new directions, identify new personal challenges and maybe even explore some new risks. I want to stay active, have saved some money and make more money while working less… only then can I begin to realistically develop a Retirement Financial Plan.

I need some help now to figure out how this transition will work and I don’t actually know where to go for help or how to begin. It makes sense to begin with my financial advisor, they are the money people. If my advisor had the tools and resources to help me navigate my general Life Events transition; I could then know all the options that are open to me. Without this help I am concerned I could make some serious mistakes that could impact my whole financial plan and my whole life. I am feeling quite nervous without access to a plan that explores all of my questions and needs. I really want to get started planning my second life and actually starting to realize my dreams.”
