The “New Retirement”
Boomers will not retire the way their parents did. They will choose to work longer and transition gradually into semi-retirement or may need to continue working to meet their retirement financial plan. They will live the 2nd half of their adult lives experiencing good health/wellness, focusing on rewarding activities that enrich their lives, communities and personal wealth while pursuing their dreams.
Retirement is no longer viewed as the end of work—but as a new beginning. Retirement planning must transition as well into Lifestyle Planning, with a focus on new growth, opportunities and re-invention.
